因為往曼谷機場的路上有點塞車，所以比預計時間晚了不少才好不容易趕到機場。還好商務艙的報到櫃檯沒有人在排隊，又有提供快速通關卡，所以很快就來到長榮的貴賓室了。
曼谷機場是長榮的重點機場之一，大多是往歐洲的航班都會先在曼谷中停。以這樣的標準來說，其實長榮的貴賓室有點讓人失望。比較好的優點大概是空間很大，而且使用的人一直都不多。不過食物選擇也相對有限，熱食大概就只有一兩樣而已。未來我的首選還是使用泰航的貴賓室，反正只要持星空聯盟商務艙以上登機證，或是星空聯盟金卡，都可以隨意使用的。

我大約在預定登機時間前十分鐘就已經到登機門等候了，因為很想要搶先登機拍一下沒有人的機艙。最後雖然不是第一個上飛機的，不過也算是前幾名，可以拍到幾乎空蕩蕩的皇璽桂冠艙。
I got to the gate about 10 minutes before scheduled boarding time, because I wanted to be the first to board and take pictures of the cabin. I didn't end up being the first, but was among the first few to board, so I still got some great shots of the (almost) empty cabin.
皇璽桂冠艙使用反魚骨的 1-2-1 設計，被很多人評為現今最好的商務艙樣式之一。不只個人空間大、隱私夠，而且每個位置都可以直通走道，實在是沒有什麼可以批評的地方。如果真的要挑一個缺點，就是因為腳步空間在一個「洞」裡，感覺有些受限吧。
EVA Air uses the 1-2-1 reverse herringbone design in their Royal Laurel Class, which was ranked by many as the best business class layout in the market. It had plenty of personal space, great privacy, and direct aisle access for every seat. It was really hard to find anything bad about this design. If I really had to pick one, I'd say that it offered limited space for your feet since technically you're placing them in a "hole."

因為曼谷到台北的航線屬於短程區域性航線，所以沒有提供香檳王或是 Rimowa 盥洗包。在餐點上也比長程的皇璽桂冠艙服務打折一些。不過短短三小時的航班，也沒有必要強求太多。只要位子舒服，能夠好好休息就可以了。
Since it was just a short regional flight from Bangkok to Taipei, no Dom Perignon or Rimowa amenity kits were offered. The meal service was also less extravagant than the usual long-haul Royal Laurel class. But there was really no need to ask for too much in a relatively short 3-hour flight. I'm happy as long as the seat's comfortable enough to rest.

在起飛沒多久之後，空姐們就立刻開始供餐了。本來一直對於長榮的飛機餐是抱持著不期不待的心情，不過這次事先預選的泰式豬肉湯麵實在太讚了，讓我對長榮的餐點刮目相看。現在想到都還是會餓啊...
Meal service began shortly after take-off. I have to admit I wasn't expecting much when it comes to meals on board EVA flights. But the Thai-style pork noodle soup that I pre-ordered for this flight just blew me away, it was phenomenal. I'd still get hungry just thinking about it...

除了豬肉湯麵之外，最讓人驚喜的地方就是餐後甜點是用另外一個托盤上的。一次送上水果、起司和 Haagen-Dazs 冰淇淋，誠意十足！我還有多點了一杯卡布奇諾，甚至比很多一般咖啡店的都來得好喝。
Another pleasant surprise (other than the pork noodle soup) was that dessert consisted of a full second tray with fruits, cheese, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream, which I thought was quite generous. I also ordered a cup of Cappuccino, which was even better than the ones made by other cafes on the ground.

酒足飯飽之後，其實已經到了一個無法在從事任何活動的境界。所以我就把座椅調成全平躺之後，一路睡到準備降落桃園機場了。這次對於皇璽桂冠艙的硬體還有餐點都印象不錯，期待下次搭乘長程航線的機會囉。
After the superb meal service, I was got so full to the point that no other activity was possible. So I reclined into the fully flat position and slept all the way until we were ready to land. I had a very pleasant experience this time with the Royal Laurel seat and meal service, and am looking forward to checking out the long-haul version of this product.
