首爾華克山莊喜來登位在首爾江北的東部，距離所有觀光景點都有點距離，所以一般來說並不是觀光客的首選。但相對的也就時常會出現一些相當親民的價格，再加上飯店有提供接駁車到最近的地鐵站，其實也不至於太不方便，所以這次就決定來住一晚體驗看看。

The Sheraton Grand Walkerhill is located on the East side of the Gangbuk (North of the Han River, as opposed to Gangnam) area, and quite far away from all the usual sights, so it's not ideal for most tourists. Though that also meant sometimes you'd get some really good prices for staying here. And since the hotel offers complimentary shuttle buses to the closest subway stations, making it less inconvenient to get around, I decided to try it out anyway with a one-night stay.

飯店的大廳非常壯觀，挑高的空間配上大片的植栽牆，讓整個空間更顯得有朝氣許多。是我看過數一數二讓人驚艷的大廳之一。

The hotel lobby was massive, and the high ceilings and green walls also made the space much more lively. It's surely one of the most impressive lobbies I've ever seen.

飯店的櫃台位於大廳的隱密角落，還好服務人員都會主動幫忙引導，所以不會找不到。

The front desk was tucked away at a corner of the lobby, but I didn't waste any time finding it since the staffs proactively greeted me at the door and escorted me there.

櫃台人員確認我是白金卡會員之後，立刻說明我可以在行政樓層貴賓廳辦理入住，並引導我搭電梯到貴賓廳。這樣的動作是很貼心，也讓人特別覺得被禮遇，不過有些人其實也會希望當下把手續辦好，拿到房卡可以進房間就好，不需要還要換地方辦。

After seeing that I was a Platinum member, the front desk staff explained that I could check-in at the lounge, and personally escorted me up to the lounge. It's a kind gesture that's supposed to make one feel like a valued guest, but some would actually prefer just checking in at the desk and get their key cards as soon as possible, instead of having to move to another location for check-in.

行政樓層貴賓廳的座位區其實不大，也和飯店本身一樣有些年紀了，不過使用的房客不多，空間也維持得很乾淨整齊。

Then there's the main seating area, which was not large by any means, and was also showing age, but there weren't that many guests using the lounge, and the place was really well-kept as well.

這次因為套房全滿，只有被升等到 Club Deluxe Room，屬於行政樓層，因此可以使用行政樓層的專用電梯。因為首爾華克山莊喜來登的房間數很多，房客也不少，有專用電梯的設計，真的可以節省不少時間。

All the suites were booked for my stay, so I was only upgraded to a Club Deluxe Room. As part of the club floors, there's a separate "express lift" available. Since the Sheraton Grand Walkerhill had a large number of room and guests, having the express lift really saved me quite a lot of time.

來到客房走廊，一樣感覺得出飯店有些年紀了。

The guest room hallway was showing some age like the club lounge.

但房間相對來說還算是新穎，至少設備並沒有老飯店的感覺。像是浴室感覺就有翻新過。

However, the room itself was relatively modern, at least it didn't felt like being in a old hotel. The bathroom looked like it had undergone some renovations.

浴室空間不大，使用的也是浴缸、淋浴間二合一的配備，但至少有安裝雨淋式花灑，我就很滿意了。

The bathroom space was on the small side, and had a bathtub/shower combo, but at least it had rainforest shower, so I'm a happy camper.

浴室和臥室由透明玻璃隔開，但有窗簾（位於臥室處）可以拉下隔開。

The bathroom had a glass window that opens up to the bedroom, but there's a curtain (on the bedroom side) that could be pulled down for some privacy.

房內的 Mini Bar 簡直成了小型的免稅店，除了一般的飲料零食之外，還有擺了一大堆化妝品等等商品。

The mini bar in my room was literally turned into a mini duty-free shop. There were a whole bunch of merchandise like cosmetics for sale, in addition to the usual snacks and drinks.

至於臥室就很普通，不管是配備或是裝潢都是走一個最基本的路線。

As for the bedroom, it was rather ordinary. The decor and amenities were all quite basic.

比較特別的是有提供智慧型手機，不過功能很有限，只有接電話是免費的，所以我並沒有使用。

The only special amenity was the smart phone, but it had rather limited functions and only receiving calls were free, so I didn't use it.

窗邊則擺放小餐桌組，只可惜因為空調機器的設置，離窗邊還有一點距離。

There's a small dining table set next to the window, but due to the location of the A/C unit, there's still a bit of a distance between the two.

I did, however, get to enjoy this beautiful view of the Han River.

拍完房間再回到行政樓層貴賓廳享用下午茶，下午茶時段主要只有提供一些簡單的零食和甜點，飲料的選擇也不多。

I returned to the lounge shortly after for some afternoon tea. They only had some small nibbles and dessert available, and the drink selection was limited as well.

晚上外出吃晚餐回到房間後，發現已經完成開床服務，甚至做得比首爾柏悅還有徹底，令人讚賞。

I went out for dinner, and after I returned to my room finding turn-down service had been completed. They even performed better than the Park Hyatt Seoul. I was certainly impressed.
