和仁川鳥巢飯店一樣，首爾汝矣島 GLAD 飯店也是 Design Hotels 的成員，現在也已經和喜達屋集團合作，所有SPG會員只要透過SPG管道訂房，都可累積點數。但金卡及白金會員的權益就相對比較少，常見的升等、延遲退房、早餐等等，都是不保證的。
Just like the Nest Hotel Incheon, the GLAD Hotel Yeouido is also a member of Design Hotels, and has also joined the Starwood group, so all SPG members booking through the SPG channel can earn and redeem points at this property. However, SPG Gold and Platinum members have limited benefits at Design Hotels, so none of the usual benefits, such as upgrades, late-checkout, and breakfast are guaranteed.

首爾汝矣島 GLAD 飯店的交通位置非常方便，就位於地鐵 National Assembly 站一出站的地方，搭乘地鐵可以直達金浦機場。汝矣島本身也算是首爾比較新開發的區域，有很多值得一逛的地方。
The GLAD Hotel Yeouido is conveniently located right next to the National Assembly station, with a direct subway line to Gimpo Airport. Yeouido itself is also a relatively newly developed area in Seoul, with plenty of sights nearby.

一到飯店前台之後，工作人員就很親切地歡迎我入住，所有手續也非常迅速地完成。令人意外地是飯店居然和仁川鳥巢飯店一樣給了我升等。這次入住有同行友人一起訂房，兩間都被升等了，一間升等到非套房房型最好的 GLAD King Room，另一間則是 Deluxe Corner Room。
I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff, and had my check-in completed swiftly. I was surprised to also receive an upgrade (like the Nest Hotel Incheon). I booked two rooms as I had company for this stay, and both rooms were upgraded. One was upgraded to the GLAD King Room, which was the best non-suite room type, and the other to the Deluxe Corner Room.

整間飯店的設計走得是比較暗色系的現代風格，用色大多以黑、灰色為主。
The hotel's design was going for a more modern look, with dark tones mainly consisting of black and grey colors.

首先來到的是 GLAD King Room，616號房。

從飯店的平面圖就可以看出來，GLAD King Room 真的比其他房型大上許多。
As you can see from the floor plan, the GLAD King Room was much larger than the standard rooms.

浴室內也有浴缸，是和其他房型比起來比較明顯的差異。其實除此之外感覺不出來和 Deluxe Room 有什麼太大的差別。
There's a bathtub in the bathroom, which was the main "upgrade." Other than that and the extra space, I really couldn't tell the difference between this room and a Deluxe Room.

浴室空間算是寬敞，而且整理得很乾淨整齊。淋浴間和廁所都有隔開，不過如果隔間是用霧玻璃會更好。
The bathroom was spacious and kept in great condition. Both the shower room and toilet were separated, but it'd be better if they use frosted glass as the partition.

The sink area had a very neat design and layout, and they kept all the amenities in a bag on the side.

浴室外則是開放式的衣櫃，比較特別的是飯店選用的灰色浴袍。
Outside the bathroom was an open closet, with its highlight being the grey bathrobes, which I liked.

接著則是書桌，木質的桌面感覺很不錯，不過燈光有些不足。
Next to that was the work desk. I liked that they had a wooden surface, but it really needed more lighting.

GLAD King Room 配備的想當然就是 King Size 的床型。而首爾汝矣島 GLAD 飯店最讓我驚艷的亮點絕對就是他們的床了，絕對是我近期睡過最舒服的床，比 W 飯店的還要好睡！
The GLAD King Room had, of course, a king size bed. And the bed was without doubt my favorite part of the GLAD Hotel Yeouido. It was absolutely the most comfortable bed I've slept in recently, even better than the W Hotel beds.

床頭的電話可以兼作藍芽音響，還有附 USB 充電座，也是很貼心的設計。
The phone could be doubled as a bluetooth speaker, and also came with USB charging ports, which I thought was a nice design.

另外窗邊還有一張躺椅，不過入住時窗外緊鄰著正在進行的工程，噪音還不少，大概不會想要在這裡休息。
There's a separate daybed next to the window supposedly for you to lounge in. However, my room was next to a rather noisy construction site, so I couldn't imagine myself relaxing there.

雖然 GLAD King Room 空間確實比較大，不過我認為他們並沒有好好運用額外的空間，導致整間房間看起來很空曠，是比較可惜的地方。相較之下，接下來的 Deluxe Corner Room 在空間運用上反而比較剛好。
Although the GLAD King Room did have significantly more space, I didn't think they were properly utilized, making the room seem rather empty, which was really a shame. I thought they struck a better balance between space and amenities with the Deluxe Corner Room.

一般來說 Corner Room 通常會因為位置的關係，有比較多窗戶視野比較好，不過這裡的 Corner Room 還是只有一扇窗戶，並沒有不同。
Normally corner rooms at hotels would have more windows and a better view due to its location, but not here, they still only had one window.

「Creative Lounge」不只空間很寬闊，而且設計得很舒適的感覺。
The "Creative Lounge" was spacious and had a nice and welcoming design.

裡面有設置了許多座位，可以在這裡休息或是閱讀書報，甚至見面開會也是可以的。
They had plenty of seats laid out so people could rest and read here, it could also be used for small gatherings or meetings.

經過這次入住，覺得首爾汝矣島 GLAD 飯店的硬體設備還算不錯，地理位置也是相當方便，只可惜在服務上就比不上其他飯店來得貼心周到，比較偏向是一間「有限服務」的飯店。但當然這也是反映在價格上，他們的房價比起其他同級飯店真的都低了一些，所以還是很適合那些預算相對有限，不會花太多時間在飯店，但又希望能住得好的旅客。
After this stay, I thought the GLAD Hotel Yeouido had a great hard product, and a relatively convenient location, but underperformed when it came to their service and soft product. They were more like a "limited-service" property than a full-service one. Of course, that was reflected on the price as well, and their rates were consistently lower than other hotels in the same range. So the hotel is still ideal for those who have a limited budget, wouldn't spend too much time in the hotel, but still want to have a nice place to stay/sleep in.
