全日空在成田機場設有頭等艙專屬的報到區，就像泰航在曼谷機場的頭等報到區一樣，是和航廈其他區域隔開的。醒目的「Z」區櫃檯標誌，也很容易找到。
ANA has a dedicated check-in area for first class in Narita Airport, and it is separated from the rest of the terminal like the first class check-in area Thai Airways has in Bangkok. It's also very easy to locate with its large "Z" sign.

穿過神秘的自動門之後，就會立刻有專人來接過行李，並協助完成報到手續。在等待的時候，還會送上一條熱毛巾。
Once I walked past the automatic doors, one of the staffs immediately welcomed me, took over my luggage, and helped me process the formalities. I was even offered a hot towel while I wait.

如果遇到報到櫃檯客滿的狀況（應該是幾乎不可能），也有一排沙發可以坐著等候。
If all the counters are occupied (which is highly unlikely), there are also some couches available for guests to sit in and wait.

在完成報到之後，還能通過專屬的通道，直接進到頭等艙專屬的安檢區域，當然在這裡也是完全不需要排隊的。可惜頭等艙沒有專屬的移民官辦理出境手續，不然整個流程還能再更加快一些。
After being checked in, I headed down to the security line reserved for first class passengers, and of course there were absolutely no line there. Sadly there wasn't an exclusive first class immigration line, or else the entire process would be even faster.

進入管制區之後，就順著標示來到全日空的貴賓室。第一次在這裡可以搭電梯上樓到頭等貴賓室，其實心情很激動的啊！
Once I was airside, I followed the signs and proceeded to the ANA Lounge. It was the first time I get to take the elevators up to the ANA Suite Lounge, so I was quite excited.

一進到貴賓室之後，馬上有服務人員來引導我到座位，還有詢問我是不是第一次來這間貴賓室，我說是之後，她還簡單帶我導覽了一下。
Once I entered the lounge, one of the staffs escorted me to the seating area, and asked if it was my first time in the lounge. When I said yes, she offered me a small tour of the lounge, which I gladly accepted.

頭等貴賓室裡面的座位，大多是用隔間的方式隔開，每一區的隱私度都很足夠。
Most of the seats in the ANA Suite Lounge were separated by partitions, so each section remained very private.

The newspaper and magazine rack was located near the entrance of the lounge, with displays of inflight shopping products and special luggage tags next to it.

再往內一點，還有一塊用餐區，不過幾乎沒有人選擇在這裡用餐。
Further inside the lounge was the dining area, which was hardly ever occupied as no one seemed to like eating here.

貴賓室當然也有商務中心，裡面有非常多的獨立隔間，配備也都非常齊全。其實這裡是全貴賓室最熱門的區域，在人多的時段，是很難搶到位子的。
And of course there's a business center in the lounge, which had a number of small well-equipped cubicles. This was perhaps the most popular part of the lounge, and sometimes it's really hard to find a seat here.

至於淋浴間則在入口處櫃檯的另一端，使用前要先告知服務人員。內部擺設其實並沒有和商務貴賓室相差太多。
The showers were at the other side of the lounge next to the entrance, and you'd have to notify one of the staffs before using one. The interior was more or less identical to the shower rooms in the business class lounge though.

除了一般的自助餐區之外，貴賓室的招牌大概就是提供烏龍／蕎麥麵和咖哩的現煮櫃檯了。各式烏龍麵和咖哩餐點，在這裡隨時現點現做。

等到我終於參觀完坐下之後，服務人員還會立刻送上熱毛巾，以及詢問我想喝什麼飲料（當然是香檳謝謝）。在這邊也順便稱讚一下當天在頭等貴賓室的服務人員，真的非常細心而且主動。在貴賓室的期間，發現他們都會默默記住每一位旅客的班機跟目的地。像是我到螢幕前面看班機資訊的時候，居然就有一位服務人員過來，幫我切換到 NH2 那頁！這麼貼心的服務，還真的是第一次遇到。
Once I finished my tour and took a seat, one of the staffs offered me a hot towel and asked if I'd like to have anything to drink (champagne please). I must also compliment the staff that day for their excellent service. During my time in the lounge, I realized they'd secretly memorize each of the passenger's flight and destination (even when there were lots of passengers in the lounge). For example, when I was checking out the flight information screen, one of them came and switched to the page showing NH2. This level of service really was a first for me.

雖然說等一下在飛機上還有大餐要吃，但還是忍不住點了一份烏龍麵跟咖哩。烏龍麵非常讓人驚艷，咖哩反而有點普通。
Even though I knew there'd be a feast waiting for me on board, I just couldn't resist ordering some udon and curry. The vegetable udon was really good, while the curry was a bit underwhelming.

平常聽到聯合航空的貴賓室，大家都是避之唯恐不及。但不得不說，聯合航空在成田機場的貴賓室，我認為在硬體上是完全不輸全日空貴賓室的。而且也可能是因為大家對於聯航既定印象差的關係，我到的時候，居然是整間頭等貴賓室唯一的旅客！
Usually when people hear about United lounges they'd stay as far away from it as possible. But I must say this lounge was just as good as the ANA lounge in terms of its hard product. Also, perhaps it was because United had such a bad reputation, I turned out the be the only guest in the entire Global First Lounge!

整間貴賓室的座位非常充足，而且妝點得很有日式風格，比全日空或日航的貴賓室，更有日本風。
There were plenty of seats in the lounge and was nicely decorated with plenty of Japanese touches. I'd say the lounge was even more "Japanese" than the ANA or JAL lounges.

Aside from the regular seating area, there were also an entire line of cubicles and massage chairs, making the lounge much more spacious than the ANA Suite Lounge.

不過在餐點上的表現，聯合航空的貴賓室就遠遠不及全日空貴賓室了。不只選擇不多，看起來也都很廉價的感覺，沒有頭等貴賓室該有的質感。
Although the United Global First Lounge fell behind in terms of food. There weren't many choices available, and whatever was there looked quite cheap and did not have the quality a first class lounge should have.

更誇張的是，整間頭等貴賓室沒有一位服務人員！所以我簡單拍拍照之後，就直接出發到登機門了。只能說這間貴賓室在硬體上雖然非常突出，但軟體仍然很弱。
What was most shocking was that there weren't any staff in the entire first class lounge! So after taking some pictures I decided to leave the lounge and head straight to the gate. Even though this lounge had a really impressive hard product, the soft product still needed a lot of work.

來到登機門之後，剛好已經開始登機。不得不說全日空真不愧是日本的航空公司，所有登機順序跟動線都安排得非常好。想當然，我就順著頭等艙的登機通道跟專用空橋，立刻登機啦：）
Boarding was already under way when I reached the gate. Though being a Japanese airline, ANA really organized their boarding lines and sequences really well. It goes without saying that I immediately boarded the plane using the first class line and exclusive jet bridge :P

一登機之後，座艙長立刻上前問候，然後告訴我今天最大的好消息，就是我是唯一的頭等艙客人！！座艙長還相當可愛地說：「Please enjoy your "room" today」。期待已久的包機服務，今天終於成真啦～～
Once I was boarded, the purser greeted me personally and told me the best news of the day: I was the only guest in first class today!! She even told me "please enjoy your 'room' today." It was really a dream come true to fly solo in first class.

全日空的 777-300ER 共有八個頭等艙座位，隔間式的設計雖然沒有拉門可以完全關上，但隱私度也是非常高。不過全日空頭等艙的設計，比較常被人詬病的，就是隔間做得太徹底，把大部分的窗戶也都擋住了，反而看不太到窗外的景色。
There were eight first class seats in ANA's 777-300ER. Even though they were "open suites" without doors, each seat remained very private. Though the design of ANA's first class suites were often described as "too private" as the walls also blocked most of the windows and thus blocking all the great views.

毛毯、枕頭、盥洗包和耳機已經先擺好在座位上。還沒等我準備好，空服員也已經送上了一杯 Krug 香檳，只能說一人頭等艙的服務實在是太好了啊～
Blankets, pillows, headphones, and amenity kits were already placed on the seat when I boarded, and soon later the flight attendant also offered me a glass of Krug champagne. Service was truly amazing when you have the entire cabin to yourself.

睡衣也立刻由座艙長本人親手送上，還立刻拆封問我要不要在起飛前先換上。只好有點尷尬地先跟她說，先讓我拍張照好嗎～換衣服時，還會有一位空服員站在廁所外面等候，一換完立刻接過衣服幫我掛好。上次遇到這樣的服務，是在搭新航豪華套房的時候了。
The purser then personally delivered my pajamas, and asked if I'd like to change immediately before take-off so I'd be more comfortable. It was a bit awkward when I had to ask her to let me take a picture of the pajamas first. And when I was changing, one of the FAs waited outside the lavatory, and helped me hang my street clothes once I finished changing. The last time I experienced this level of personal service was when I was flying Singapore Suites.

頭等艙的餐桌當然也不是普通的 size，但可惜因為座位設計的關係，無法兩人面對面用餐。
Naturally the dining table in first class was much larger than the regular ones, though due to the design of these seats, it wasn't possible to dine face-to-face with another person.

The movable cocktail table was really handy when I needed to place some small items without pulling out the large table.

There's also a small closet in the outer "wall" of the seat, which was large enough to hang a jacket or some other clothes.

雖然在空間收納上，真的感受得出放了非常多巧思，不過在收納中型物品（像是相機、筆電）的空間就幾乎是完全沒有，是我認為座位設計上比較可惜的地方。
It's obvious that they spent a great deal of time designing all these storage spaces, though sadly there were no space at all to place some slightly larger items (such as cameras or laptops), which I thought was quite a pity considering these are the items I use most often in-flight.

全日空從 2015 年初開始，把盥洗包從 Rimowa 換成了 Samsonite，拿到的當下其實有點失望，但還好內容物並沒有改變，還是有大罐的 The Ginza 保養品組。
Starting from early 2015, ANA switched their amenity kit from Rimowa to Samsonite. To be honest I was really disappointed with this change, but luckily the contents of the kit did not change, which still had full size bottles of The Ginza products.

耳機則是使用 Sony 的抗噪耳機，非常舒服好用。
The noise-cancelling headphones were Sony-branded, and were really good and comfortable to wear.

全日空頭等艙的 23 吋螢幕畫質非常好，機上娛樂系統的品質也很好，可惜的是有些日劇沒有英文字幕，對於外國旅客來說不是那麼友善。
The 23-inch screen also had high quality with a good in-flight entertainment system, though I did find a few Japanese drama series that did not offer any subtitles, which weren't exactly foreigner-friendly.

可能是早上太早起床的關係，在班機等待起飛的時候，一個不小心就睡著了...醒來之後大概是起飛一小時之後的事。但這時候身為頭等艙唯一乘客的好處就來了，不知道空服員們是怎麼發現我已經醒來的，待真的在一分鐘之內，立刻送上了熱毛巾跟菜單。
Maybe it was because I woke up too early, I accidentally fell asleep as we waited for take off, and woke up about one hour later. Though, since I was the only customer in first class, somehow the FA noticed I was awake and handed me a hot towel and menu in less than a minute.

You can always check out ANA's in-flight menu on their website in advance, and in most cases they'll have a Japanese and a Western meal choice. Though, once again, since I was the only first class passenger, I got to choose whatever I wanted.

接著就進入日式餐的前菜，其實也不太懂到底是什麼食材，但反正好好大吃就對了。

生魚片料理的食材也是很與眾不同，不過只有鮟鱇魚肝比較讓人驚艷而已，其他還好。

吃完之後，空服員立刻接著送上燒物，整個送餐的節奏掌握得非常好。燒物料理也是我認為最美味的一道。
The "Yakimono" course was delivered moments after I finished the sashimi. The entire meal service was really well-paced. And I must say the "Yakimono" course was the best course of the meal.

可惜吃到這裡，我就已經快要撐死了，只好跟空服員取消後面幾道菜，只再喝了碗味噌湯，還有西式套餐裡的水果盤而已。
I simply couldn't eat anymore food at this point, so had to asked the flight attendant to skip the rest of the meal, and ended my feast with a bowl of miso soup and a fruit plate from the Western menu.

可能是我對於全日空頭等艙的期待太高，不過用餐到這裡，其實對於料理是失望的。當然也不能說不好吃，只是大部分料理並沒有特別美味，也沒什麼特別讓人驚艷的地方。大概像是對於全日空的期待是90分，最後卻只有80分的失落感吧。
Perhaps it was because I had such high expectations about the food in ANA first class, but at this point I really wasn't impressed. I wouldn't call anything bad, but most of them weren't exactly to die for as well. It was like when I expected an A+ performance and only received an A- one.

用餐完畢之後去上了個廁所，回來之後，空服員就已經在隔壁的座位上鋪好床了。
I went to the lavatory briefly after meal service, and the FA already made my bed on another empty seat when I returned.

我特別喜歡他們還在一般枕頭下面放了一顆記憶枕，睡起來就軟硬適中，超級舒服的。
I really liked that they had a memory foam pillow under the regular pillow, which made it just right and super comfortable to sleep in.

床邊還擺了一瓶礦泉水跟 ANA 獨家的「Sleep Support」助眠芳香。也不知道是吃太飽還是「Sleep Support」真的太有用，還真的很快地就進入了夢鄉。
They also placed a bottle of water and ANA's exclusive "sleep support" scent next to the bed. I wasn't sure it was because I had too much food or the "sleep support" really was that good, but I fell asleep within minutes.

全日空 777-300ER 頭等艙的廁所，並不算是特別的寬敞，不過我很喜歡洗手槽的設計。當然有免治馬桶也是一大加分。
The first class lavatory on board ANA's 777-300ER wasn't especially wide, but I loved the design of the sink, and I was glad to find Japanese bidet-style toilets on board.

既然是頭等艙，用的當然是真的毛巾而不是紙巾囉。

There were also a couple of Shiseido products, and some more amenities such as toothbrushes placed in the lavatory.

廁所內還有換衣服專用的腳踏板，這樣換衣服的時候，腳才不需要直接踩在廁所地板上。在我剛登機換衣服的時候，是空服員先進廁所幫我放好的。從這裡也可以看出全日空的服務真的非常細微跟貼心。
The lavatory was also equipped with a special "platform" to stand on so you didn't have to step on the floor directly. And when I went in to change my clothes, the FA actually went in the lavatory and set it up for me in advance. It goes without saying that I was really impressed with the service.

睡了大概四小時之後醒來，決定先點一壺熱茶。既然是頭等艙，當然是可以任意選擇搭配方糖、檸檬、牛奶的。除此之外，還會附上一個小沙漏，提醒你該把茶包拿起來了。
I woke up after about four hours of sleep, and decided to order some tea. In ANA first class, you get to choose between sugar, lemon, and milk. They'd also offer a small sandglass to remind you when the tea is done.

喝完茶之後工作了一陣子，又覺得有點肚子餓了，於是立刻點了一碗一風堂拉麵，配上 Krug 香檳。
After finishing the tea and working for a while, I started to feel a bit hungry again. So I ordered a bowl of IPPUDO ramen, and had some more Krug to go with it.

吃完之後再來一盤西式套餐的冰淇淋鬆餅甜點。結果這一道菜變成整段航程中最好吃的料理，冰淇淋不會太甜，再搭上莓果醬跟鬆餅，真的是絕配。
After that I had some more ice cream and waffles from the Western menu, which turned out to be the most delicious food I had in this journey. The ice cream wasn't too sweet so went perfectly with the wild berry jam and waffles.

既然頭等艙只有我一個人，香檳都開了，不喝完實在是對不起自己（？），索性就跟空服員把整瓶給拿來了。
Since I was the only one in first class (I just can't repeat this enough), and already had a bottle of champagne opened, it was simply not right not to finish it. So I decided to keep the bottle with me and helped myself :P

在一杯又一杯的 Krug 之後，很快地也就來到了早餐時間。因為全日空頭等艙不算是有特定的早餐套餐，所以可以隨便搭配。就點了水果、優格，配上烏龍麵跟咖哩當作主餐。
After a few glasses (or more) of Krug, soon it was time for breakfast. There weren't exactly a breakfast set meal in ANA first class, so I got to mix and match a bit, and ordered some fruit, yoghurt, udon noodles and curry for breakfast.

和貴賓室裡的料理一樣，烏龍麵表現非常好，但咖哩飯的味道偏重，不是那麼好吃。
Just like in the lounge, the udon was perfect while the curry was a bit over-seasoned.

不知道為什麼，從早餐開始服務就有點走下坡，常常都要等好一陣子空服員才會來收盤子。另外，之前看到其他人換掉睡衣之後，會給他們一套新的讓他們帶回家，但我也沒有。降落前跟降落後座艙長或任何一個空服員也都沒有來問候。其實這些都是不重要的小細節，沒有也沒什麼關係，只是和期待中的滿分服務有點落差而已。
I wasn't sure why, but service really went downhill starting from breakfast. I often had to wait quite a while before someone would clear my plate. Also, I read from many reports that the FAs would usually offer them a fresh pair of pajamas for them to take home, though that wasn't the case here. Usually the purser or FA would come and thank each first class passenger for flying with them before landing, though that did not happen as well. These are, of course, very minor first world/first class problems and really didn't matter that much at all, but was still a step down from the top-level service I imagined they'd deliver.

Though the ground service truly wasn't great after landing. Usually arriving (and departing) an airport meant frustratingly long lines and complicated procedures, and the entire experience would be completely different if the airline had someone to accompany first class guests through all this. Some airlines like Thai and Lufthansa would offer personal "escorts" to assist their first class passengers, though I was pretty much left on my own after stepping out the cabin. Of course, one can argue that Singapore Airlines also offered weak ground services, but they really excelled in the air. So when ANA's in-flight service was still a step down from the Singapore in-flight experience, offering some more ground service would certainly make the first class experience much better.
