最近去大阪的時候剛好有兩天的空檔，不過我也不想一直待在大阪，或是去其它像是京都或是神戶這些一般人常去的關西城市，所以就決定到岡山玩個兩天。岡山同樣也只要從大阪搭JR大約半小時左右就可以到了，而且也有很多傳統的景點可以看，像是著名的岡山後花園和岡山城。至於住宿就選擇了岡山格蘭比亞，因為地點真的很好，而且還有直接和JR車站連通，非常方便。
飯店確實和車站非常非常近，下車大概一分鐘之內，我就已經抵達飯店大廳準備入住了！Check-in也同樣非常迅速有效率，快到我根本沒空好好在大廳拍幾張照片，所以想看的朋友們可能就要去他們的網站看看了。簡單說的話，大概就是飯店比較偏向西式路線而非日式的裝潢吧。
I had a two-day opening in my recent trip to Osaka. I didn't want to stay in Osaka, or visit other big cities like Kyoto or Kobe, so I opted to make a short visit to Okayama, as it was just a short JR ride from Osaka, and had quite a lot of traditional Japanese sites to visit, like the spectacular Korakuen Garden and the Okayama Castle. For the hotel, I decided to stay in the Hotel Granvia because it had direct connection with the Okayama JR Station, and was right at the city centre.
The hotel was literally right next to the JR Station, I got to the hotel lobby within minutes after stepping out of the train. Check-in was also a breeze, it was so smooth I didn't even have time to take out my camera and snap a few pictures. If you want to see what the hotel exterior and public spaces look like, you'll have to check out their website. All I can say is they had a more Western decor rather than a Japanese one.

如果有仔細看上面的房間格局的話，就會發現每間房的入口處都會有一個小小的玄關空間。通常我都滿喜歡有玄關的客房的，因為有種特別豪華的感覺。不過這次我反而比較希望他們把這個多餘的空間拿去弄個比較大的浴室。我一直都不太懂為什麼日本的飯店浴室都要那麼小，有時候還會擁擠到有種在飛機上的錯覺...
If you look at the layout of the room above, you'll notice that there's a small foyer. I usually like hotel rooms with a foyer, as it adds some sense of luxury. But in this case, I actually think it's better to eliminate that design and go for a larger bathroom. I never understand why Japanese hotels tend to have bathrooms so small they make me feel like I'm on a plane.

The layout of the bathroom is also pretty interesting. The sink is actually located outside the bathroom in the closet area. But since the actual bathroom is so small there's no way to fit the sink in there, this arrangement made sense.

撇開空間不談的話，浴室本身其實還算不錯。浴缸算是日本飯店中相當大的了，而且也有標準的免治馬桶配備（住日本飯店的好處之一）。我也很欣賞他們使用大瓶的沐浴乳、洗髮精，而不是一般那種一小罐的拋棄式備品。雖然說這代表沒辦法把他們帶回家，不過環保一點還是比較重要！
Despite the small size, the bathroom itself was pretty great. The bathtub was large under Japanese standards, and I always love to use those automatic toilets. I also appreciate the fact that they use large bottles of shower gel, shampoo, etc. It's a nice eco-friendly gesture, even though that means less amenities for me to take home.

這邊就可以看到另外一個設計上非常怪異的點：擺放行李的地方居然是在臥室，不是在剛剛的衣櫃區域！不過既然只住一晚，沒有把東西拿出來的必要，所以對我來說是沒什麼差別就是了。
This is another weird part of their guest room design: your luggage or designed to be placed in the bedroom instead of the closet area. But it worked fine for me as it is only a one-night stay and I did not plan to unpack.
因為飯店雙床房的房型比單床房的還要多，所以我就被分配到了雙床的房型。兩張床（試著我兩張床都試躺了，在此跟打掃房間的人說聲抱歉）都非常大也非常舒適，睡起來非常讓人放鬆。那晚真的是一夜好眠！
I was assigned to a twin room because apparently there were more twin rooms than double rooms. The beds (yes I tried both of them, my apologies to housekeeping) were large and comfortable to sleep in. I slept like a baby that night.

這個客房我最喜歡的地方，就是窗戶旁邊的休憩區，可以在這邊欣賞整個JR車站跟岡山市的景觀。建議大家在訂房或是入住的時候，跟飯店要求住在高樓層的房間喔！
What I love most about this room is the sitting area next to the large window. I got to enjoy the beautiful view of the JR Station and Okayama city. I highly recommend everyone to request a room on higher floors upon reservation or check-in.

房間內的 Mini-bar 倒是很一般，配備齊全但是也是貴到嚇死人。其實想喝飲料或吃東西的話，去附近的 FamilyMart 買就好了。
The mini bar was the usual thing: well-stocked but over-priced. I'd just go out and buy whatever I need at a nearby FamilyMart.

早餐篇 Breakfast
飯店房客可以選擇西式自助早餐或是日式的早餐套餐。這次我選了日式的早餐，因為我一直很想試吃看看日式的早餐。每次去吃日式定食，他們的料理種類跟擺設和呈現都讓人驚艷。這次自然也不例外，不僅樣式多、擺設美，而且也都非常美味，完全是無懈可擊！
For breakfast, hotel guests can choose between a western buffet or a Japanese set meal. I went for the Japanese option as I really wanted to check out what a traditional Japanese breakfast is like. Japanese set meals always amaze me with the wide selection and the delicate look of the food. This meal turned out to amaze me as well. The setting of the tray, the selection, and the taste were all flawless. I simply loved it.
整體而言這間飯店算是相當不錯的。不僅客房和服務都很好，地點也是完美到不行，另外早餐也非常美味。雖然說定價稍微貴了一些，不過我認為相當值得！
Generally the hotel was pretty nice. Great rooms and service, unrivaled location, and a nice breakfast. It was a little expensive, but in my opinion, it was well worth the price.
