這次行程在香港有短暫過夜轉機停留，本來沒有想要到市區的，不過剛好香港美麗華酒店在這之前剛宣佈加入SPG計劃（過去只屬於Design Hotels但並未加入SPG），就決定來體驗看看。
I had a brief overnight layover in Hong Kong before my Singapore Airlines flight. Initially I just planned to stay near the airport, but the Mira had just previously joined the spg program (it was only part of Design Hotels, and not spg in the past), so I chose to stay here to review the property.

從大門開始，就看得出香港美麗華相當時髦的定位。感覺有點像稍微樸實一點的W Hotel。
Starting at the entrance, you could instantly tell the trendiness of the hotel. It's like a slightly understated version of W Hotel.

不知道為什麼，辦理入住花了不少時間。期間前台經理有特地過來問候，不過第一句卻是先告知Design Hotel不適用多數SPG白金會員福利...。我可以理解他們大概遇到很多不清楚狀況而大發雷霆的白金會員，所以想事先告知，不過當入住時第一句聽到的話是我不能享有哪些權益時，感覺還是有點怪怪的。
For some unknown reason, check-in took longer than usual. The front desk manager came to personally welcome me during the process, but her first words were to inform me that most spg platinum benefits do not apply at Design Hotels properties. I get that they may have had a handful of uninformed, and therefore unhappy, platinum guests in the past, so wanted to do their best to manage expectations at the beginning, but I wouldn't call it a warm welcome when the first words I hear were about what sort of benefits I'm not entitled to.

值得開心的是，還是有從一般的普通客房被升等到園景客房，算是很大方了。
To my pleasant surprise, I still received an upgrade from a studio room to a parkview room, which was quite generous considering they were not obligated to offer any upgrade.

房間以香港旅館來說不算太小，擺了兩張床都還有足夠的空間走動。
The room was rather spacious for Hong Kong hotels, with enough space to move around even after having two beds.

客房內浴室和臥室是用落地玻璃窗分隔，但可以拉上窗簾。
The bathroom and bedroom were separated by glass windows, but there were curtains for privacy, if needed.

浴室空間相較之下就真的比較狹小一點。不過淋浴間並不會太窄，洗起澡來還算舒服。
The bathroom, on the other hand, was much smaller, but fortunately the shower room was still large enough to comfortably shower in.

沐浴用品則是美麗華的自家產品，其實如果能跟其他品牌合作，會更好一些。
Toiletries were not branded. It'd be a very nice upgrade if they could work with other brands to provide better toiletries.

衣櫃空間也不大，但至少該有的都有，而且拖鞋跟浴袍穿起來都很舒服。
The closet was on the small side as well, but it had everything, and the slippers and bathrobes were both extremely comfortable to be in.

比較特別的是洗手台並不在浴室內，而是設置在衣櫃旁（應該是因為浴室真的擺不下吧）。但其實也就在浴室門口，所以使用上並不會很不方便。
What's special about the layout of this room was that the sink was not in the bathroom, and was installed next to the closet instead (probably because there simply wasn't enough room in the bathroom). But it was still right in front of the bathroom door, so didn't cause much inconvenience.

臥室的設計就很中規中矩，但綠色的配色看起來很協調，和窗外的園景也很搭。
The bedroom had the usual bedroom design and layout. I liked the color scheme of the room, which matched perfectly with the greenery outside.

電視控制器看起來很高科技，但入住時間太短，沒有空好好研究它的功能。
While the TV controls looked fancy, my stay was too short for me to have the time to explore its full function.

除了放在洗手台的兩罐免費瓶裝水之外，另外還有兩份免費點心。不過在外面美食吃太多太飽了，所以也沒有動。
In addition to the two free bottles of water at the sink, the hotel also had two more complimentary snacks in the room. Sadly I was too full from all the feasting outside I did not touch any of it as well.

書桌的配置也很簡單，但至少有方便使用的插座，就很讓人開心了。如果能有一些簡單文具用品的話會更完美。
The desk was rather basic as well, but at least they had easily accessible power outlets. The only thing I'd hope for was a few stationary items.

香港的很多旅館也都會提供 Handy 手機或是無線網路分享器，可以在入住期間免費使用。美麗華酒店當然也有準備。
Many hotels in Hong Kong would offer complimentary Handy cell phones or Wi-Fi routers for guests to use during their stays, and the Mira certainly was no exception.

客房窗外可以看到整片九龍公園的美景，在看習慣香港高樓林立的景色之後，突然看到一大片綠地，還真是有點不習慣呢。
The room had a full view of the neighboring Kowloon Park, which was a very refreshing change of scenery after getting used to all the city (i.e. uncomfortably close neighboring building) views in Hong Kong.

可惜入住時間真的太短，沒有辦法好好體驗其他公共設施或早餐。但以目前的印象來說，覺得香港美麗華最大的優勢應該在於地點，剛好位於尖沙咀的位置，對於遊客來說真的很方便。但客房其實沒有太讓人印象深刻的地方，在香港這個旅館業高度競爭的市場，其實有更多更好的選擇。
Due to my extremely short stay, I did not have time to explore the other public areas of the hotel, nor sample the breakfast. Based on my initial impressions, the best feature of this property is its location. Being situated right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui, the hotel is a perfect choice for tourists. However, the rooms aren't particularly memorable, and I'd say there are more than a handful of better options in such a highly competitive hotel market.
