這次東京的出差行,因為行程緊湊的關係,選擇了最方便的松山羽田航線,雖然票價比桃園成田貴上一些,不過省下來的時間(還有來回機場的交通費)其實還是很值得的。上次在同樣航線搭過全日空(ANA)的班機,所以這次選擇日本航空(JAL)試試看,剛好 JAL 的航班時間也是最好的,去程是一早從台北起飛,中午過後到東京,回程則是傍晚東京起飛,九點才降落台北,在東京的每一天都不會浪費掉。
For my recent business trip to Tokyo, I chose to fly the Songshan-Haneda (as opposed to the Taoyuan-Narita route) route due to my tight schedule in Tokyo. Even though the fare was slightly higher, I thought it was worth the extra since I get to save quite a lot of time (and airport transfer costs). I had flown the same route with ANA before, so decided to try out Japan Airlines (JAL) this time. JAL also had the best schedule as well. The outbound flight leaves Taipei in the morning and lands shortly after noon, and the inbound flight doesn't leave Tokyo until nighttime. So I wouldn't have to waste a day in Tokyo.

日航在松山機場的報到櫃檯位於出境大廳最邊邊,其實位置並不是非常好。商務艙的櫃檯當然是不用排隊的。地勤則是由華航代理。不過似乎負責的華航地勤還不是很熟練,光是為了在訂位裡加上我的澳航(QF)卡號就花了好一陣子,然後到了東京之後才發現,我的行李她也忘了加上優先條。
The JAL check-in counters were located at the furthest end of the departure hall, so that's not ideal in terms of airport real-estate. There were, of course, no line in the business class line and I was called by an agent in no time. All JAL ground services in Taipei are handled by China Airlines, and the agent checking me in seemed to by still rather unfamiliar with the system. It took her a while just to add my Qantas (QF) membership number into the reservation. And she also forgot to add a priority tag to my bag as well, which I didn't realize until at the baggage carousel in Haneda.

在松山機場的另外一個好處,就是因為機場小所以旅客不多,到哪裡都不用排隊,不用五分鐘就已經完成所有手續,準備到貴賓室了。
One of the other advantages of flying out of Songshan Airport was that the airport was so small there were no lines anywhere. So I blew past security and passport control in less than five minutes, and made my way to the lounge.

松山機場只有一間貴賓室,供所有航空公司旅客使用,所以這次去的時候稍微有點擁擠,但還不至於到找不到位子的地步。
There's only one lounge in Songshan Airport, which is shared by all the airlines. So it was a bit crowded when I was there, but not to the point that it was hard to secure a seat.

貴賓室內的陳設很簡單,並沒有什麼特別的地方,但作為一個候機殺時間的地方還算可以接受。
The lounge itself was quite bland and simple. Nothing special to write home about here. But as a place to rest and wait for your flight it's not that bad.

I spent most of my time in the lounge wrapping up some work online (and eating more dim sum, of course), and headed to the gate for boarding shortly after.

到達登機門的時候,其實已經快登機完了,只剩下經濟艙的隊伍還有一些旅客而已。但當然商務艙是可以走優先登機通道的,所以一樣完全不用等。

日航在松山羽田航線使用的是比較老舊的 767-300 機型,商務艙座位也是配備比較舊的 JAL Sky Recliner 座位,雖然號稱是2011年的得獎設計,不過在2016年已經可以說是完全跟不上時代了。在硬體方面,日航可以說是松山羽田航線中最差的(像是全日空就是用新的 787 執飛)。
JAL operates the old 767-300 on the Songshan-Haneda route, and the business class seats are also the rather dated JAL Sky Recliner seats. Yes, maybe theses seats were award-winning back in 2011, but they certainly look ancient in 2016. So in terms of the hard product, it's safe to claim that JAL has the least attractive product on offer compared to the other airlines operating the same route (ANA uses their brand new 787, for example).

商務艙是 2-2-2 排列,兩張座位中間有一片小小的隔板分開,其實我覺得這設計得很不好。首先隔板並不是活動式的,所以如果是兩人同行的話也無法將隔板收起來,但隔板其實又沒有大到能真的有任何保護隱私的作用,就變成只是一片很礙事的隔板而已。
Business class was in a 2-2-2 configuration, with a small privacy shield between each adjoining seat. I actually found this design to be quite bad. First of all, these shields are fixed, so you don't have the option of retracting it when travelling with someone. Yet they're also not large enough to provide some real privacy, so in reality it's just a piece of plastic that really gets in the way.

日航的拖鞋品質非常好,不只鬆軟好穿,而且還附上一支鞋拔。
The slippers JAL had were really nice. They were thick and comfortable, and also came with a shoe horn.

但看到耳機之後還是傻眼了一下,這品質根本就是經濟艙的等級,奇醜無比的包裝更讓它顯得廉價。
However, I was really shocked to see these headphones. These were what you'd get in economy at best, and most economy class headphones didn't come in such hideous packaging. These shouldn't be offered in business class under any circumstance.

雖然之前聽過有些人對日航的商務艙餐食評價不太好,但實際體驗過後覺得其實還算中規中矩。一樣是和食、洋食兩種選擇。並沒有特別豐盛,但也不至於太差。菜單其實可以再做得精緻一些就是了。
I've heard some negative comments on JAL's business class catering, but actually I didn't think they've done a bad job. The menu came with the standard Japanese and Western options, and while the meal wasn't extravagant, it's not that bad as well. The only thing I'd suggest was that they could make the menus a bit nicer.

一上機之後,空服員當然是立刻送上熱毛巾,不過並沒有提供迎賓飲料。隨後另外一位空服員也來逐一問候乘客並詢問主餐跟搭配飲料的選擇。

坦白說日航的機上娛樂系統並沒有讓人非常滿意,選擇其實不多,而且設備老舊所以操作上比較不順暢,再加上品質奇差的耳機,所以後來我就直接放棄機上娛樂系統了。
To be honest I wasn't impressed by JAL's entertainment offering. The selection wasn't extensive, and the rather ancient system was a bit difficult to navigate. Adding all this with the terribly awful headphones, I decided to give up on the IFE entirely.

既然放棄看電影了,就只好乖乖等著吃飯。還好不久之後空服員就來鋪上桌巾準備送餐了。桌巾一樣是我喜歡的日航樣式。
Since there were no movies to watch anymore, I had to look forward to the meal. Luckily the flight attendants were soon ready to start meal service, starting with placing each seat with the JAL tablecloth.

都搭了日籍航空,當然是要選和食套餐囉。餐點是整盤送上,包含前菜、味噌湯、主菜、飯,還有小菜,另外飲料則點了香檳跟日航的招牌 Sky Time Kiwi 飲料搭配。
Ordering the Japanese set meal was the logical choice on a Japanese airline, so that's exactly what I did. The entire meal came in one tray, including the appetizer, miso soup, entree, and some nibbles. I ordered some champagne and the signature drink Sky Time Kiwi to go with the meal.

當月份的主餐是鱸魚,雖然味道不錯但沒有預期中那麼讓人驚艷。

同行的同事點了西式套餐,主餐是紅酒燉牛肉,看起來好像比日式套餐吸引人一點。但麵包居然是直接放在餐盤上,是擺盤上的小缺點。
My colleague who was travelling with me ordered the Western set with the beef stew, and it looked a bit more appetizing than the Japanese main dish. The only complaint I'd have for this setting was that the bread were placed directly on the tray instead of on a separate plate.

餐後甜點是 Haagen-Dazs 冰淇淋,另外可以點熱飲搭配,我點了日本茶,同事則點了咖啡。日本茶的呈現方式很不錯,味道和偏甜的冰淇淋也很搭配。
After the meal we had some Haagen-Dazs ice cream for dessert, and ordered some hot beverages to accompany it. I ordered the Japanese tea while my colleague ordered a cup of coffee. I thought the presentation of the Japanese tea was really good, and it's also perfect for balancing the sweetness of the ice cream.

因為班機時間很早的關係,再加上也沒打算看電影,所以吃完飯之後就已經昏昏欲睡。雖然說座位能後傾的幅度很小,不過也還算是舒適,醒來時就已經準備降落羽田機場了。
這次旅程主要因為硬體關係,實在是對日航太失望,不然不管是餐食或是服務,其實都還是有不錯的水準。再加上航班時間真的很好,其實很適合想要爭取時間的遊客或商務客。至於機上古老的設備,就稍微忍耐一下吧!或是等日航更換機材之後再選搭了。
Since it was a morning flight and I didn't intend to watch any movies, I quickly dozed off after the meal. The seats had a limited recline, but they were comfortable enough for a short rest even without reclining. I didn't wake up until we were preparing for our descent to Haneda Airport.
I think the major disappointment of this flight was mainly due to its ancient and sub-par hard product. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and service on board. And considering these are the best-timed flights between Taipei Songshan and Tokyo Haneda, I'd still recommend it to business or leisure passengers who want to maximize their time in Tokyo. You just have to bear with the hard product for a few hours, or wait until JAL updates their aircrafts in the future.
