自從年初透過 Status Match 得到凱悅的鑽石會籍之後，就想要體驗看看凱悅集團的住宿。畢竟平常大多以喜達屋旗下飯店為主，很想比較看看兩大集團間的住宿經驗。
Since I received Hyatt Diamond status through their status match promotion at the beginning of the year, I've been planning to try out a Hyatt property. The majority of my hotel stays are with Starwood, as I have Platinum status with them, so I'm curious to compare the elite treatment in these two groups.

台北君悅酒店可以說是台北最頂級的幾間飯店之一。交通位置也是十分方便，位於信義計劃區，離台北101和各大百貨都非常近。另外也鄰近兩個捷運站，要到市區主要景點都很快。
The Grand Hyatt Taipei is without doubt one of the best hotels in Taipei. It is also conveniently located in the Xinyi District, close to Taipei 101 and all the shopping malls. It's also within walking distance from two MRT stations, so also has east access to the rest of the city.

入住期間大廳正在整修，但仍然看得出台北君悅的氣派。大廳特別挑高，也讓人感覺格外開闊。
They were having some renovation done in the lobby during my stay, but you could still instantly tell how "grand" the lobby of the Grand Hyatt Taipei was. The high ceilings also provided an even more open feel to the place.

入住櫃檯位於大廳角落，其實並不特別顯眼，不過隨時都有工作人員主動協助引導，並不會找不到。
Check-in counters were discreetly tucked away at the corner of the lobby, and might not be visible at first sight, but staffs were always proactively offering help to guests, so I did not have a problem finding it.

其實鑽石會員是可以直接在嘉賓軒辦理入住手續的，不過我一直都懶得特別跑到貴賓廳辦手續，除非是大廳真的排隊排得很長的狀況。當然從圖片中就可以看到，這天是完全不用排隊的。
As a diamond member, I should be able to check in directly at the club lounge, but I rarely do so, except when there's a really long line at regular check-in. As you can see from the pictures, there was no line at all.

在得知我是第一次以鑽石會員身份入住台北君悅之後，櫃檯人員相當親切地向我逐一解釋了鑽石會員的待遇，還有嘉賓軒的各項服務，之後還親自送我到電梯口。第一印象就非常加分！
After learning that it was my first stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei as a diamond member, the staff kindly went over all the diamond benefits here, and the services offered at the club lounge. She even escorted me to the elevators after all the formalities were completed. Needless to say I had a really good first impression.

可惜走廊仍然稍嫌單調古板，不論是地毯或是牆壁，都還是有種陳舊感，可以做得再更細緻、現代一些。
The hallway was still old and bland though. The carpet and walls looked like they were from the last century. They could definitely be updated with a more modern and exquisite design.

這次在訂房時就使用了鑽石會員一年四張的套房升等券，是在訂房時有空房就可以確認升等的，不像是喜達屋會員還要等到入住前五天才能看情況確認。升等後的房型是君悅套房，也是台北君悅的一般套房房型。
I used one of my four suite upgrade certificates that I receive as a diamond member, and these were confirmed at booking, unlike Starwood's Suite Night Awards, which only confirm 5 days out and are still subject to the hotel's discretion. I was upgraded to a Grand Suite, which is the standard suite type at the Grand Hyatt Taipei.

You'd find the guest bathroom on the left and closet on the right after entering the suite.

客用廁所在裝設或是備品上都很簡單，並沒有什麼特別的地方。
The guest bathroom was pretty much a standard one and had the absolute minimum in terms of amenities. There was nothing to write home about.

衣櫃則是設計得非常好，我特別喜歡中間的板凳，簡單俐落但又很有質感。在門口穿鞋的時候就很方便。
The closet, on the other hand, was very well-designed. I especially love the bench in the middle. It was very sleek and elegant, and was a comfortable place to sit and put on my shoes.

但其實只有半邊衣櫃能用，另一邊是封死的。畢竟這邊只是客廳用的衣帽間，並不是主要的衣櫃，不需要太大。
Only one side of the closet was is fact a closet though, as the other side was sealed shut. But after all this was only a coat hanger mainly for guests (there's a much larger walk-in closet in the bedroom), so there's no need for a large space.

客廳也是整間套房最讓人驚艷的地方。不得不說台北君悅翻修後的客房真的很不錯，相當巧妙地融合了現代感跟中式風格，簡單卻不失奢華感。
The living room was definitely the best part of the suite. I must say the Grand Hyatt Taipei really did a good job in renovating the place. The final product was a clever blend of modern and traditional Chinese decor. It's kept simple yet still had a sense of luxury.

書桌本身很寬敞，還有兩張椅子，所以也可以兼作餐桌使用。
The desk was also spacious and had two chairs, so could also double as a dining table.

當然書桌旁也配有各式插座，只是不知為何 USB 插座是無法使用的。這似乎是許多飯店的通病，常常提供很多看起來很厲害的接孔，但實際上能用的可能不多。
There were also a variety of ports next the the desk, but the USB port was not working. I found this to be a common problem at many hotels. They often have these fancy technology consoles but most of the time there's some part of it that did not work.

It goes without saying that they have a Nespresso machine here, as most luxury hotels nowadays do. There were also four bottles of water.

值得一提的是這裡的各種杯組提供得相當齊全，光是咖啡杯和茶杯就各有兩組。
It's worth noting that they had a descent selection of cups in the cabinet, including two sets of coffee and tea cups.

我很喜歡客廳的許多設計細節，像是沙發兩次的不同燈飾，還有邊桌的中式設計，都讓人印象深刻。
I really loved the details in the living room design, such as the different lamps by the couch, and the Chinese element of the side tables. It was quite impressive.

The living room and bedroom were separated by a sliding door. So this was a true suite with two independent spaces.

客房的設計在用色上比較沈穩，適合放鬆跟休息。
The bedroom had a darker color scheme, perfect for relaxing and sleeping.

因為套房的空間配置關係，在窗邊多了一個休憩空間。但我覺得在這裡擺一張一般的客廳椅並不是最好的選擇，如果能有一張靠窗的躺椅，會更吸引人一點。
Due to the layout of the suite, there's an extra space next to the window. However, I don't think having a regular lounge chair here is the best thing to do. A daybed placed next to the window would be much more inviting.

Beds at the Grand Hyatt Taipei were comfortable to sleep in, but I still prefer the W Beds more.

接著則是浴室。我對於飯店浴室的要求一向很高，所以必須說台北君悅的浴室，以套房浴室的標準來說，是有些讓人失望的。
Then there's the bathroom. I've always have high standards when it comes to hotel bathrooms. So I want to start by saying that I was disappointed by the bathroom here in the Grand Suite.

首先，廁所配備的並不是免治馬桶，這點很讓人驚訝。我以為在台北的五星級飯店，免治馬桶已經是必備品了。
First of all, I was surprised to find out that they did not have Japanese bidet-style toilets, which I thought was a standard offering at 5-star hotels in Taipei.

另外就是浴室的空間並不算大，當然也沒有到狹小的地步，但以一間套房來說，可以更寬敞一些才是。在台北的同級飯店，像是台北W飯店或是寒舍艾美的套房浴室都大上許多。
The bathroom could also use a bit more space. It was not small or cramped in any sense, just that it could be more spacious since we're talking about a suite here. Other hotels at the same level, such as the W Taipei and Le Meridien Taipei, all had much larger bathrooms in their suites.

但淋浴間空間算是寬敞，超大雨淋式花灑設計也很讓人喜歡。當然亮點是提供了 Ferragamo 的備品。
The shower room was spacious though, and I enjoyed the huge rain shower. The highlight, of course, were the Ferragamo toiletries.

不過洗手台卻只有一個。在現今大多數奢華飯店（有些甚至不一定是套房）都有雙洗手台設計的時候，在台北君悅看到單洗手台，就不得不讓人搖頭了。
But there was only one sink here. First world problems, but when most luxury hotels (and some even in their rooms, not suites) offer double sinks, seeing a single sink in a suite here made me shook my head in disbelief.

雖然備品提供得相當充足，但我認為可以再包裝得更精緻一些，質感會比較好。
The amenity box was well-stocked, but I do think they could use a bit more packaging so it wouldn't look so messy.

但在洗手台及浴缸各放了一塊香皂，是我覺得很不錯的貼心舉動。
I did, however, appreciate that they placed a bar of soap both by the sink and bathtub.

在拍完房間之後，接著就直奔嘉賓軒貴賓廳。所有預訂嘉賓軒客房的房客，還有凱悅的鑽石會員，都可以使用嘉賓軒貴賓廳。
After photographing the room I went straight to the Grand Club lounge. All guests staying at club floors, as well as Hyatt Diamond members, have access to the lounge.

嘉賓軒貴賓廳的設計真的很美。空間雖然很大，不過每個座位區之間都有足夠的區隔，隱私性一樣很足夠。
The club lounge was beautifully designed and really large. But they made all the seating into different "zones" so there's still plenty of privacy.

另外，嘉賓軒貴賓廳的服務也一直都很不錯。櫃檯人員除了每次都會親切問候之外，我只有在第一次進入時有報了房號，之後他們就記得了，沒有再被問過。
Service was also top notch at the lounge. They'd always greet me with a smile, and I only had to give them my room number once. After my first visit, they remembered and never asked me for my room number again.

晚間雞尾酒時段的食物選擇，也絕對排得上台北高級飯店中前幾名的。當然要跟台北文華東方相比，可能還有一段距離，但並不遜色於六福皇宮或台北喜來登。
They also had one of the most extensive food selection when it comes to evening happy hour buffets in Taipei. It's still not the Mandarin Oriental Taipei (not that I expect it to be), but comparable to what's on offer at the Westin Taipei and Sheraton Grande Taipei.

可惜隔天因為一早有約，就沒有機會享用到嘉賓軒貴賓廳的早餐，不過目前聽到的評價也都很不錯，期待下次入住時再度造訪了。
Sadly I had an early appointment the next morning so didn't have a chance to sample the breakfast service at the lounge. But I've heard nothing but great words about it, and really look forward to trying it out on my next stay.
