馬航吉隆坡-曼谷商務艙(Malaysia Airlines Business Class: Kuala Lumpur - Bangkok)

因為上一段延遲了兩小時,下機時距離往曼谷班機的表定起飛時間只剩下十分鐘左右,所以立刻開始狂奔。沒想到跑到最近的航班資訊顯示螢幕找登機門的時候,才發現下一班飛機也延誤了一小時。這時候就覺得馬航在地面服務還有待加強,如果遇到班機有延誤抵達的狀況,至少在下機的地方能有一些資訊,或是安排地勤人員協助轉機旅客,會讓人安心很多。

Since my previous flight had a two-hour delay, when I got off the plane it was only 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time for my flight to Bangkok, so I immediately started running. Though when I reached the closest flight information panel to look for the boarding gate, I found out that this flight was also posting a one-hour delay. This is where I think Malaysia Airlines could have done more in terms of ground service. When they have a delayed flight arriving, they could've had some information posted at the arrival gate, or have some ground staff present to assist transferring passengers, that would've made the entire experience much smoother.

既然還有一小時,就有空去貴賓室休息一下了。馬航在吉隆坡機場有兩間貴賓室,一間在主航廈,主要供區域線航班使用。另一間就在衛星航廈,主要服務長程航班旅客。但其實並沒有特別限制,是可以自由使用的。但既然這次時間不多,就還是用區域線貴賓室就好。

Since now I had about an hour to spare, I decided to go to the lounge to catch my rest for a bit. Malaysia Airlines has two lounges in Kuala Lumpur International Airport, one is located in the main terminal, mainly for regional flights, and the other in the satellite terminal for passengers on long-haul flights. Though entry isn't restricted in any way and you are free to go between terminals to use both lounges. But as I had limited time, I just went to the regional lounge.

區域線貴賓室的入口就在航廈中間,離飛機模型展示的地方不遠。找到標示之後,再搭手扶梯往上一層就到了。

The entrance to the regional lounge was at the middle of the terminal, near the model plane display. After you locate the signs, just use the elevator to go up a level to reach the lounge.

這時候已經接近關閉時間,所以幾乎沒有其他旅客。

It was close to closing time when I got there, so there were almost no one else in the lounge.

進入貴賓室後,右手邊就是用餐區。

On the right side of the lounge was the dining area.

另外還有一區商務中心,有提供電腦跟印表機。

And also a business center, with a few desktop computers and a printer.

雖然選擇不是很多,不過貴賓室裡的食物還算不錯,至少有不少當地的食物選項,看起來比一般的貴賓室食物有趣許多。

Even though the food spread was on the small side, it was a decent selection. At least there were plenty of local food available, so was much more interesting than the usual lounge spread.

另外也有「叻沙吧」(Laksa Bar)提供現煮叻沙跟其他麵食,味道非常好。

There was also a Laksa Bar offering freshly cooked laksa and other noodle dishes, and they tasted great.

另外也有酒吧,不過這個時間點已經沒有提供服務了。

There was a bar on the other side as well, but was no longer staffed due to the late hour.

另外貴賓室左側就是主要的座位區,但是座位不是很多,如果尖峰時段可能會有些擁擠。

On the left side was the main seating area, but there weren't a lot of seats available, so I could imagine the lounge being crowded during rush hour.

但很貼心的地方是貴賓室裡面還設有專門的充電站,而且還可以上鎖,就可以在使用貴賓室時把手機安心放在這裡充電。

What I loved about the lounge was that they had a special charging station, which could be locked, so you could leave your mobile device here to be charged while you're in the lounge.

雖然貴賓室內設有淋浴間,不過設備看起來並不是很好,感覺需要重新裝修一下了。

Even though they had showers in the lounge, it looked like it really needed an update.

因為吉隆坡機場的安檢是在各個登機門進行,所以比登機時間提早了一些前往登機門。沒想到到了預定的(已經延遲的)登機時間,還是沒有開放登機,地勤也沒有任何廣播。就這樣又多等了一個小時才開放登機。目前兩班馬航班機,兩班都延誤了兩小時。

As security was done at each gate in Kuala Lumpur, I headed to the gate a bit earlier than the announced boarding time. However, the scheduled (delayed) boarding time came and passed, but boarding still wasn't called, neither did the ground staff made any announcement. An one-hour delay turned into two before they finally started boarding. So far it's a 2/2 record for long delays with Malaysia Airlines.

一上機看到是尚未改裝的舊型波音737-800更是讓人失望。馬航新的波音737-800商務艙就已經不是非常好了,舊的更是讓人不解為何還能存在於2016的航空市場中。

I was even more disappointed when I saw that we got an old Boeing 737-800. While the new Malaysia Airlines Boeing 737-800 business class wasn't good already, the old one was so ancient I had no idea they still let it exist in 2016.

舊的波音737-800商務艙也沒有提供個人娛樂系統。

There were no personal IFEs with these old 737-800 business class seats.

一份看起來就是被人翻過後隨意折回的報紙,就這樣放在椅背中。然後雖然有安全指示卡,但卻不見機上雜誌的蹤影。

There was an obviously used (and randomly folded back) newspaper in the seat pocket. And while there was the safety information card, the inflight magazine was nowhere to be found.

扶手上的座位控制只有一個調整椅背的選項。

然後娛樂系統(如果還能這樣稱呼的話)看起來就是上個世紀的產物。

The "entertainment system" (if you could even call it that) looked like it was from the last century.

等到登機完畢後,空服員就開始提供迎賓飲料跟熱毛巾(不像上一段提供冰毛巾,這段提供的是熱毛巾)。因為紅芭樂汁實在是太好喝了,所以還是繼續點紅芭樂汁(當然也是因為馬航在三小時以內的航程不提供酒類)。

After boarding was completed the flight attendants started offering welcome drinks and hot towels (as opposed to the previous flight, where they offered cold towels instead). I enjoyed the pink guava juice so much I just kept ordering it (and also because Malaysia Airlines did not serve alcohol on flights less than three hours long).

就在上一段讓人非常滿意的馬航飛行經驗後,沒想到馬上迎來的是最讓人失望的飛行經驗。讓人失望的硬體就不再提了,沒想到服務更是繼續探底。這班班機商務艙共有兩位空服員,可能是看到乘客連我在內只有四個人的關係,其中一位在達到飛行高度後,居然直接到商務艙最後一排空位坐下睡覺了,只留下一位空服員送餐。

After my previous thoroughly impressive flight with Malaysia Airlines, I did not expect to have my most disappointing one with them right after. When I thought the hard product was bad enough, the service was even worse. There were two flight attendants assigned to business class this evening, and perhaps because seeing that there were only four passengers (including me), one of them went straight to the last (empty) row of business class after we reached altitude, sat down, and went straight to sleep, leaving only one flight attendant left for meal service.

往曼谷的航程比較短,所以餐點是直接用一個托盤完成,也沒有提供菜單,只有空服員手中有一份,直接在點餐時秀給乘客看而已。

On the short flight to Bangkok, meal service was done in one tray, and no menus were offered. There was only one which the flight attendant showed the passengers when taking orders.

整段航程中最大的問題其實發生在剛送餐時,因為座位老舊的關係,餐桌擺好後其實是斜的。所以在空服員送上餐盤後過沒幾秒,餐盤就整個滑落翻倒。而這時候剛好拿著相機在拍照的我,也完全來不及阻止。就這樣整杯紅芭樂汁就倒在我身上跟座位上,弄得衣服褲子都濕了。緊急按了服務鈴請空服員幫忙,沒想到空服員也沒有要幫忙清理的意思,只把餐盤收走而已。還好我在隨身行李有多帶衣服,才趕快到廁所換新衣服之後換到隔壁座位。這時候空服員也只是送了一份新的餐點給我,對於剛剛發生的意外沒有任何的歉意甚至是關心。另一位空服員當然是繼續睡她的大頭覺,對於整件事渾然不知。

And then came the biggest disaster for this flight. Due to the age of these seats, my tray table was slightly tilted after it was pulled out. So just seconds after the flight attendant put my tray on the table, it slipped and tipped over. As I was taking pictures at the time and had both my hands on the camera, there was no time for me to react. So my pink guava juice spilled all over me and my seat, and my clothes and jeans were all wet. I pressed the call button hoping for some assistance, but none was offered except clearing the tray. She had no intention of cleaning the seat. Fortunately I had an extra set of clothes packed in my carry on, so just went to the lavatory to change, and sat in the empty (and clean) seat next to me. Then all the flight attendant did was offer me a new meal, without showing any form or apology, or even concern, for what happened. And of course, the other flight attendant slept through the entire incident, without any idea of what happened.

主餐我選的是椰漿飯,本來想說既然是馬航,選當地的料理應該不會錯,但這次的椰漿飯味道實在是讓人失望。而且經過剛剛的意外,也實在是沒有什麼胃口了。倒是麵包還不錯,是這餐唯一的慰藉。

For the meal I chose to have the Nasi Lemak, thinking that the local dish was the logical choice when flying Malaysia Airlines. However I was really disappointed by it. Also after what just happened, I had really little appetite left. The bread that came with it was good though, and was the only edible part of the meal.

因為這讓人看不太明白的沙拉和甜點(因為沒有菜單,所以也無從得知究竟是什麼料理)實在是讓人無法下嚥。各吃了一口之後,就直接拜託空服員幫忙收走了。

...as the mysterious-looking salad and dessert (I had no idea what they were or consisted of since there was no menu) was simply inedible. I had a bite of each of them and just ask the flight attendant to clear my tray.

另外通常商務艙乘客在曼谷都會得到快速通關卡,但在降落前始終沒有拿到,甚至下機前問空服員,他們是直接擺出一付不知道那是什麼的樣子。但後來離開曼谷時卻是有的,而且上網查,其他網友也都是有拿到的。不知為何就只有這一班沒有。

雖然我在上一篇飛行紀錄中一直說,想到自己付的票價,對於馬航實在是沒什麼好批評的。不過對於這次航程中如此糟糕的服務,只能說再低的票價都不足以彌補,讓人失望至極。

Usually business class passengers would get a pass for the priority immigration lane in Bangkok, though they never distributed them before we landed. I even asked the flight attendant for it when I was leaving, and they just gave me a look as if they had no idea what it was, and told me they didn't have any. Though when leaving Bangkok I was offered the pass, and when I looked online, all the other reviews said they got one. So I had no idea why they didn't have it on this flight.

In my previous report, I kept saying that I had nothin to complain considering the price I paid for my ticket, but no bargain could have ever compensated for the horrendous service I received on this flight. Needless to say I could not have been more disappointed.
