在介紹國泰航空在香港的兩間頭等貴賓室之前，要先從進機場後的第一步：「報到」開始說起。如果是國泰航空頭等艙，或是寰宇一家綠寶石卡的會員，就可以使用國泰航空頭等艙的專屬報到區。
Before reviewing the two Cathay Pacific first class lounges in Hong Kong, let's start from the first thing you need to do after stepping in to the airport, checking in. Cathay Pacific has a dedicated check-in area for its first class and Oneworld Emerald customers.

頭等專屬報到區位於B區，另一邊就是商務艙的報到櫃台。
The dedicated check-in area is located at area B, with business class check-in on the other side.

比起新航、泰航、全日空在自家主場的頭等報到設施（更不用說德航的頭等航廈）的表現相比，國泰是完全輸得徹底。頭等報到區不僅和航廈其餘區域沒有任何區隔，也沒有任何座位可以讓旅客坐著休息，更不用說專人護送或是專屬的安檢通道了。除了櫃台數多、完全不用等待，服務也稍微親切一些之外，和一般的報到經驗並沒有太大的差別。
If compared to what Singapore, Thai, or ANA has on offer at their hubs (not to mention Lufthansa's over the top First Class Terminal), Cathay Pacific's first class ground service is quite awful, to be honest. There's no separation from the rest of the terminal, no seating of any kind available, and of course no dedicated security lane or escort service). The entire check-in experience wasn't that different from a regular premium check-in.

比較方便的是，國泰的頭等艙報到區離機場南面安檢區很近，而一通過安檢跟證照查驗之後，也可以很快速到達「寰宇堂」頭等貴賓室，不用走那麼多路。
What's nice about it is that the check-in area is really close to the airport's South security lane, and "The Wing" is right past security and passport control, so there's less walking involved.

一出境之後，就可以看到往「寰宇堂」頭等貴賓室的標示，在這邊直接左轉即可，不用下樓。在上一次的國泰頭等艙飛行紀錄中，其實已經有簡單介紹過「寰宇堂」頭等貴賓室。這次就直接直奔貴賓室內的「逸雅閣」餐廳吧。
Right after immigration, you can see the signs to The Wing First Class Lounge. Just take a left turn here and there's no need to go downstairs like everyone else. Since I've already visited the lounge on my previous Cathay Pacific First Class trip, I headed straight to the restaurant, The Haven.

造訪當時貴賓室仍然由半島酒店負責營運，從2016年5月1日開始，已轉由環亞（Plaza Premium）負責。
The lounge was still operated by Peninsula during my visit, but starting from May 1, 2016, all Cathay Pacific lounges are operated by Plaza Premium instead.

餐廳內的服務非常到位，一進到餐廳就會有侍者引導入座並送上菜單，隨後也會有人來詢問飲料選擇。
Service was impeccable at the restaurant. One of the servers escorted me to my table and handed me a menu, and shortly after someone else came to take my drink order.

這次對於自助餐點沒有太多興趣，所以大多以點餐為主。首先送上的是南瓜濃湯，搭配一片香蒜麵包。
I wasn't very impressed by the buffet items, so mainly ordered from the menu. First off, pumpkin soup, served with garlic bread.

最後則是香煎鴨胸。不得不說這道鴨胸讓人大為驚豔，不但調味非常好，熟度更是恰到好處，無疑是我吃過最好吃的鴨胸料理，沒有之一。
Then I concluded my meal with the pan seared duck breast, and I was really impressed by it. It was perfectly well-seasoned and cooked just right. This was without doubt the best duck breast I've ever tasted.

酒足飯飽後當然就是前往「寰宇堂」頭等貴賓室最有名的「浴泉居」洗澡了。「浴泉居」除了淋浴設施之外，還有超大浴缸跟躺椅，在機場能有這麼大的個人專屬休息空間實屬難得。不過「浴泉居」數量不多，時常需要等上半小時以上，所以建議在進入貴賓室時就先前往登記。
After the meal I headed to the famous Cabana for a bath. These cabanas are perhaps the most well-known feature of The Wing, and has not only a shower, but also a gigantic bathtub and daybed. It's really rare to have such a large personal space at an airport. Though there aren't that many cabanas and the wait usually takes more than half an hour, so I'd register for one as soon as possible.

「浴泉居」也有提供燙衣服務。只要把衣服掛在門邊的這個衣櫥，就會有專人收走幫忙燙好再放回。
The Cabana also offers a discreet ironing service. Just put your shirt in the closet next to the door, and someone would iron it and return it.

當然「浴泉居」裡也是有廁所的，而且是獨立於其他空間。

淋浴設施共有三種：手持式、瀑布式和雨淋花灑。比較不推薦使用瀑布式，因為水會濺得到處都是。
There are three different kinds of shower: handheld, rain shower, and a "waterfall" shower. Personally I'm not a fan of the "waterfall" one, because it would make the entire place soaking wet.

浴缸非常非常的大，是稍微嬌小一點的人就可以在裡面躺平的那種。
The bathtub is extremely spacious, large enough for a petite person to lie fully flat in it.

洗完澡之後，趁著人不多就拍了一下貴賓室其他區域（如果想看更多照片可以參考前次國泰頭等艙飛行紀錄）。首先是一進門的「凱旋吧」，大紅色的皮椅十分搶眼。
After my bath I took the opportunity to take some pictures of the lounge (for more pics, please check out my previous trip report). The first thing you'd see after entering the lounge is the Champagne Bar, with its iconic red leather chairs.

The Champagne Bar had three kinds of champagne on offer, and they seemed to switch quite regularly.

貴賓室面向航廈，也可以看到停機坪，這個開闊感也是「寰宇堂」最吸引人的地方之一。
The lounge had a view of the terminal and tarmac, and the open air concept of the lounge was one of the most appealing feature of the Wing.

There's a business center in the lounge was well, with iMacs and printers available.

「寰宇堂」可說是國泰上一代貴賓室設計的巔峰（畢竟也是 2013 年才重新整修完成，還算很新）。但隨著國泰的整個企業形象創新，貴賓室也開始了全新的設計。這時候就要到「玉衡堂」頭等貴賓室參觀國泰的新一代貴賓室了。
The Wing is perhaps the top of Cathay Pacific's old lounge concept (it was just renovated in 2013, after all). But after Cathay Pacific started rebranding, they also adopted a new lounge design. To experience the new generation lounge concept, you'd have to visit "the Pier."

貴賓室鄰近 63 號登機口，算是位於航廈的邊陲位置，所以想要造訪的話也要稍微衡量一下步行時間。
The lounge is located at gate 63, near the end of the terminal. So it could take quite a trek to visit.

搭乘手扶梯下樓後，簡約的入口設計就已經讓人眼睛為之一亮。
After going down a level by the escalators, you could see the eye-opening new minimalist entrance.

但踏入貴賓室後的第一個體驗，其實是國泰替「玉衡堂」設計的芳香，包含薰衣草、青竹、綠茶及茉莉等元素，是「玉衡堂」獨有的香味。
The first thing you'd experience after stepping into the Pier, though, is its signature scent. It's a specially designed fragrance exclusive to the Pier, including a mix of lavender, bamboo, green tea, and jasmine.

「玉衡堂」以一個寬敞的走廊作為貴賓室主體，連結不同區域。走廊採用石材壁面及木製傢具，再加上各種盆栽，確實營造出了一種高級住宅的從容感，完全讓人忘記自己身處於機場的忙碌空間之中。
The "bone" of the Pier is a spacious hallway connected the different areas of the lounge. And it really set the relaxing tone of the lounge with stone walls and wood furniture, making people feel like they're in a luxury residence instead of an airport.

首先最接近入口的是「輕饌坊」，以提供非酒精性飲料和輕食為主，方便旅客自行隨意取用。

這裡的空間其實和酒吧區相通，但在設計上又更具有居家感，就像是家中的客廳一樣。在傢俱的選配上，也是延續著這樣的主軸。
This part of the lounge is actually connected to the bar, but had an even more residential feel. It's designed to look like a living room, and the selection of furniture clearly had that in mind.

在各個座位區旁，還會看到像這樣的「餐車」設計，提供簡單的點心跟酒水。
Next to each group of seats are these "carts" with some small bites and liquor.

座位旁的桌子抽屜拉開後，就有相當方便的充電插座。只可惜不是國際通用插座，對於旅客來說較不方便。
Power outlets are conveniently placed in the drawers next to each seat. Sadly they weren't universal power sockets, which made it less traveler-friendly.

而「玉衡堂」確實在整體氣氛的營造上相當完美。不僅讓人忘記自己還在機場，就連是身在機場貴賓室這件事也都快要忘了，彷彿自己真的是在家中客廳休息一樣，十分讓人放鬆。（要是我家真的有這麼高級就好了...）
The Pier had done a perfect job in creating the perfect ambience. Not only did I forget that I was in an airport, I almost even forgot that I was in an airport lounge, as if I was really lounging in my own living room. That's how relaxing I felt in this lounge. And yes, I wish my living room was this beautiful.

首先右側是「閱覽間」，提供六個獨立的工作空間。大量的木材使用和燈光設計，也營造了一種居家辦公室的氛圍。
On the right-hand side is the Bureau, offering six individual work spaces. The use of wood panels and the lighting design also made it feel like a home office.

Day Suites are a brand new facility exclusive to The Pier First Class Lounge. There are a total of 8 Day Suites, each of them comes with a daybed for guests to rest in. And they can be fully enclosed by drapes, making these Day Suites an ideal place to relax.

為了延續「安康舒泰」的貴賓室主題，因此國泰在「玉衡堂」推出腳底按摩服務，可以跟櫃台登記，療程大約二十分鐘。這項服務非常熱門，因此也建議進入貴賓室時就先前往登記。
To fully carry out the "Wellbeing" theme of the new Cathay Pacific lounge concept, they started offering foot massage service with the opening of the new the Pier First Class Lounge. You can register for this service at the Retreat counter, and the full course takes about 20 minutes. This is also a very popular service, so be sure to register as soon as possible as well.

「足絡間」的設計雖然是好幾間一起，但仍然保有足夠的區隔確保隱私。木板牆面配上皮椅及柔和的燈光設計，更是讓人能在按摩時好好放鬆身心。
Even though the foot massage cubicles are connected, they still had enough partition to ensure privacy. The wood panels and smooth lighting also made it a relaxing place, perfect for massages.

The shower rooms at the Retreat may not be as spacious as the Cabanas at the Wing, but are still quite luxurious and beautifully designed.

「玉衡堂」頭等貴賓室的餐廳叫做「饌薈廳」，設有大約一百個座位。就像高級餐廳一樣，門口隨時都會有工作人員歡迎。
The Pier First Class Lounge offers a full restaurant dining experience with the Dining Room, with a total of 100 seats. Just like what you'd expect at a high-end restaurant, a staff is always stationed at the entrance to welcome each guest.

「饌薈廳」空間非常寬敞，雖有一百個座位但不會覺得擁擠。唯一的缺點大概是燈光有點偏暗，但可以理解想要調暗燈光營造舒適用餐環境的用意。
The Dining Room is extremely spacious, and didn't feel crowded even with 100 seats. The only thing I'd complain is that it was on the dark side when I was there. But I understand if they're purposefully darkened to make a more relaxed dining experience.

「饌薈廳」和「恬逸間」可以直接看到停機坪，今天停在我面前的就是法航的A380，隔壁則是阿聯酋的A380。
Just like the Day Suites, the Dining Room also had a direct view of the tarmac. I had an Air France A380 parked right in front of me, and an Emirates A380 parked next to it that day.

既然來到國泰貴賓室，除了香檳之外，當然就先點了一杯國泰特調「Cathay Delight」。
Since I'm at a Cathay Pacific lounge, of course I had to order one of their signature drinks Cathay Delight in addition to the usual champagne.

「饌薈廳」內沒有自助餐點，全部以菜單方式現點現做，因此菜單選擇非常多樣，從前菜、主菜到甜點都有提供。
There are no buffet at the Dining Room, only an a la carte menu. So it goes without saying that the menu has a wide range of items on it, including starters, mains, and dessert.

而整個用餐經驗非常讓人驚艷。不只上餐速度拿捏得宜，每一道餐點的味道也是完美，讓人想一道接一道不停地吃下去。
I was highly impressed by the overall dining experience. The speed of the service was very well-balanced, and all the food were cooked perfectly. I literally cannot stop eating.

第一輪以海鮮類餐點為主，包括鮮蝦沙拉、香煎鮭魚跟海鮮粥。每一道都是好吃到讓人讚嘆。
My first round of order mainly consisted of seafood-themed items, including the prawn salad, pan fried salmon, and seafood congee, and they were all sublime.

在香檳喝完之後，侍者也主動詢問是否需要加點飲料，就多點了一杯柳橙汁跟早餐茶。
After I finished my champagne, the server proactively asked me if I'd like a refill or some other drink. So I had a glass of orange juice and some English breakfast tea.

因為餐點實在是太好吃了，忍不住多點了一份安格斯牛肉漢堡。當然也是傑出之作，牛肉多汁夠味，配上融化的起司更加美味，就連麵包跟搭配的薯條都好吃到讓人讚不絕口。
Since the food was just too good to pass, I simply had to order more. So I asked for another Angus beef burger, and it was, of course, perfect. The beef was moist and well-seasoned, and tasted even better with the melted cheese. Even the hamburger bun and the French fries were sinfully good.

最後以芒果糯米飯作結。雖然一樣非常美味，但這時候實在是已經太撐了，只吃完大約一半。
Then I ended the meal with some mango sticky rice, which was equally good. Although at this point I was simply too full to eat all of it, so only had about half.

飯後移動到貴賓室繼續休息，順邊多拍了一些各種不同的座位。國泰的新一代貴賓室設計，使用了非常多樣化的座椅，符合各種旅客需求，是我認為非常值得讚賞的地方。
After the meal I rested a little longer at the lounge, and also photographed some more seating arrangements in the lounge. Cathay Pacific really included a very large range of seating in their new lounge design so all passengers can find seats suitable for their own tastes and needs. Kudos to Cathay Pacific for that.

國泰也許在頭等艙地面服務上不及其他航空公司，但全新的「玉衡堂」頭等貴賓室，在我心目中已經完勝其他航空公司，是我至今最喜歡的頭等貴賓室。或許它並不是最寬敞或是最豪華的貴賓室，但到頭來其實貴賓室的重點，還是提供旅客一個登機前放鬆休息的地方。在這一點上，我認為「玉衡堂」頭等貴賓室的表現，就是非常完美的了。
Like it said when I started this post, Cathay Pacific cannot compare to its competitors when it comes to ground service. But the new the Pier First Class Lounge already beats all other airline lounges, and is my favorite first class lounge by far. True, it may not be the most spacious or most luxurious lounge out there, but at the end of the day a lounge is still about providing a place for passengers to relax and unwind before flight. And I think the Pier really did an outstanding job in that regard.
