華航台北-沖繩-台北商務艙(China Airlines Business Class: Taipei-Okinawa-Taipei)

自從華航在2014年11月重新裝修第一航廈貴賓室之後,一直沒有機會實際到訪(畢竟還是優先去更高級的梅苑貴賓室嘛)。這次剛好飛沖繩的登機門被改到第一航廈,終於能夠來這個新世代貴賓室一探究竟了。

I've never had the chance to visit China Airlines' new remodelled T1 lounge since its opening in November 2014 (after all, I do receive access to the much more superior Supreme Lounge as an emerald card member). So when my flight got changed to a gate in terminal 1, I decided to finally make me trip to this new "NextGen" lounge.

入口處使用大量原木,立刻就和其他貴賓室做出了區隔。

The wood-panelled entrance of the lounge immediately made it stood out from other lounges on the same floor.

在通過櫃台之後,就可以進入這道長廊。走廊的裝潢風格則已石材為主,以及一長排的書報架。

After the agents at the desk verified my boarding pass, I entered this long corridor leading to the lounge. The corridor was decorated by lots of stone, and had a long magazine & newspaper rack on the other side.

另外也擺放各個主要目的地的入境表格,讓旅客可以在貴賓室就先填妥,是我認為這間貴賓室最貼心的服務之一。

They also had plenty of entry forms for all the major destinations available, so guests can complete all the necessary paperwork in advance, which I thought was a very nice touch.

而首先經過的就是廁所及淋浴間。這間貴賓室的廁所是頭等及商務艙共用的。

The first area of the lounge was the shower rooms and toilets, which was shared by first and business class lounges.

另外也有簡單的商務中心,還有一兩間可以讓旅客小憩的睡眠小間。

There's also a small business center and a couple of nap rooms.

走廊走到底後,就來到商務貴賓室。

At the end of the corridor was the business class lounge.

商務貴賓室的設計,還是有稍微保留了舊貴賓室的骨架,不過整體質感提升不少。

The design of the new lounge kept the "bones" of the old lounge, but certainly made a very nice refresh.

大量的長沙發營造出客廳的感覺,也比舊貴賓室的座位舒服許多。

The majority of the lounge had sofas as seats, which made it more like a living room, and much more comfortable than the old lounge.

每張沙發下也都有電源插座。現在方便使用的電源插座已經是貴賓室的最基本要求,很高興華航有落實。

All seats also came with power outlets. After all, easily accessible power outlets have become a standard requirement for a lounge, and I was glad to see that China Airlines did that in their new lounge.

貴賓室內部,靠近自助餐區的地方,則是擺放餐桌型的座位。

Further inside the lounge, next to the buffet area, had more restaurant-style seating.

而自助餐是我覺得比舊貴賓室升級最多的地方,不只選擇比過去多上許多,也比較精緻,感覺很像是飯店的自助餐了。

And the buffet was, in my opinion, the most improved part of the lounge. It had much more variety, and far better presentation. I'd say it's on par with many hotel buffet offerings.

當然華航還是有保留了已經成為貴賓室招牌的現煮麵食區。從菜單上也可以看到諾富特飯店的標誌,因為現在華航貴賓室就是由諾富特機場飯店進駐提供餐飲服務。

And of course China Airlines kept its famous noodle bar. If you look close enough, you'd see a Novotel logo on the menu, that's because Novotel now caters for the lounge.

參觀完商務貴賓室,就可以出發去頭等貴賓室了。除了頭等艙乘客外,頭等貴賓室也開放華航翡翠、晶鑽卡會員使用。

After checking out the business class lounge, I proceeded to the first class lounge. Aside from first class passengers, all China Airlines emerald and paragon card members also have access to the first class lounge.

一進門後會先有一小區座位區,一樣是採用沙發型座位,但當然比商務貴賓室的沙發看起來高級一點。

Right after the entrance there's a small seating area with sofa-style seats just like the business class lounge, but of course had a more luxurious atmosphere.

左轉之後就進到主要的貴賓室區域,採用半開放式的包廂設計,但隱私度還是比梅苑差一些。

After a left turn there's the main lounge area, which had a semi-open booths. However, in terms of privacy, I'd still prefer the Supreme Lounge.

這些座位唯一的缺點就是桌面面積有點小,如果要同時用電腦跟吃東西,在空間使用上就會顯得侷促了。

The tables of these seats were also on the small side. Space would be very limited if you like to eat and work on your laptop at the same time.

當然座位旁也會有國際通用的電源插座。

因為頭等貴賓室有提供菜單點餐,所以自助餐區相較之下就顯得比較簡單,大部份看起來也沒有那麼吸引人。

Since there was a separate menu available in the first class lounge, the buffet was much smaller. And just to be honest, most of them didn't look particularly appetizing.

依照慣例當然還是得要來一碗牛肉麵,每次點都覺得好好吃啊!

As usual, I ordered a bowl of beef noodle soup, which was always delicious.

這班航班的商務艙使用的是偏舊型的商務艙,和2012年到曼谷的時候是同一型的,已經可以看出年紀了。但對於實際飛行大約只有一小時多一點的航班來說,其實也沒有什麼好抱怨的。

The business class cabin for my flight was China Airlines' old-ish (not the oldest but certainly not new at all) business class, which was the same seats as my flight to Bangkok in 2012, and it was really showing its age. But for a flight only slightly longer than an hour, there's really nothing to complain about.

從座位控制器、螢幕遙控器,還有電源插座,都看得出來這款座位真的好舊啊!

You could tell the age of these seats just by checking out the seat controls, entertainment control, and power outlet.

就位之後,空服員立刻送上熱毛巾、零食跟迎賓飲料。迎賓飲料只有果汁跟水可以選擇。

After I was seated, the flight attendants offered me a hot towel, snacks, and welcome drink, which was a choice of juice or water.

雖然說這麼短的航班還能有熱餐已經是很不錯了,但菜單內容還是讓人不禁覺得貧乏。另外也順便抱怨一下,華航新菜單的設計真的好醜啊...相較於長榮請來蕭青陽設計全新菜單,國泰使用新的極簡風菜單,華航這個新菜單設計,就和新制服一樣完全讓人無言。

Even though I was grateful to have a hot meal on this short flight, the content of the menu was really...spartan. And I just had to say that China Airlines' new menu design was simply hideous. Compared to EVA Air's new menu designed by Xiao Qing-Yang, and Cathay Pacific's new minimalist menu, China Airlines' new menu was just as bad as its new uniform, if not worse.

這天的乘客似乎不多,沒多久就已經準備起飛。而在爬升的時候經過台北,也在好天氣配合下,有了這個能從高空俯瞰台北的難得機會。

The passenger load seemed to be very light for my flight as we were ready for takeoff in no time. And as we passed through Taipei during our climb, the perfect weather also offered an unique chance to have a nice aerial view of the city.

對於空服員來說,飛沖繩可是比飛香港還要更趕的戰鬥航班。餐點也是相當迅速地直接用托盤一次上完。

Since the flight to Okinawa was even shorter than flights to Hong Kong, it's also more difficult for the crew to complete their service. So naturally meal service was completed in one tray, with everything delivered at the same time.

對於華航的商務艙機上餐,我一直很不滿的就是擺盤設計。這樣把主食和其他配菜隔開後,反而讓主食過鹹,其他配菜卻淡而無味,完全不懂這樣擺放的邏輯在哪。

I've always disliked China Airlines' inflight meal for its plating. Since they always separate the meat with the other garnishes, it always made the meat super salty and the rest of the food completely tasteless. I simply do not get the reasoning behind that.

迅速吃完飯之後,機長剛好廣播準備開始下降,這航程真的好短啊!

Right after meal service ended the captain made his pre-arrival announcement and we soon began our descent.

那霸機場規模小,自然也不需要排隊,一下子就完成入境、領完行李了。

Since Naha Airport was such a small airport, there was no need to queue for anything. I completed all the formalities and had my luggage in hand in no time.

那霸機場國際航廈真的非常小,只有兩側報到櫃台,讓航空公司輪流使用。在進入報到區之前,還得先檢查所有托運行李,導致隊伍大排長龍。還好在檢查的隊伍一樣設有天合優享的專用動線,不然不知道得要等上多久。

The international terminal at Naha Airport was extremely tiny, with only two check in rows. Before entering the check-in area, all passengers also had to have all their check-in luggage scanned, so there was a really long line for that. Luckily there was a Sky Priority line, so I did not have to wait forever.

迅速通關之後,就可以來到機場唯一的航空公司貴賓室。

After going through security and immigration, I proceeded to the only "Airline Lounge" in the airport.

就跟那霸機場一樣,這間貴賓室也是非常小巧,大概只有幾十個座位而已。

Just like the airport, this lounge was super small, with only a few dozen seats.

從書報架上大量的台灣報紙,也可以看出台灣旅客仍然是沖繩觀光客中的大宗。

And the abundance of Taiwanese newspapers here really showed how much Taiwanese tourists there were in Okinawa.

貴賓室內的食物也非常簡單,只有一些簡單的零食、飲料跟泡麵。

There's a very small buffet in the lounge, with only some light snacks, drinks, and cup noodles.

一上機之後,一樣是由空服員送上熱毛巾、零食、迎賓飲料以及菜單。

As usual, the flight attendants offered my a hot towel, snacks, menu, and welcome drink after boarding.

這班航班的餐食甚至比上一班還簡單,連麵包都不見了。還好食物有比上一班稍微好吃一些。

The food on this flight was even more simple than on the previous flight. They didn't even offer bread! Luckily it tasted slightly better.

用餐完畢後喝杯熱茶,也就準備降落了。

The smaller meal also gave me the time to have a cup of tea before we land.

如果用一句話總結,大概只能說華航飛沖繩的商務艙,是最不商務艙的商務艙了吧。但華航在第一航廈的貴賓室確實是一大進步,很推薦大家去參觀體驗看看。

If I had to sum it up in just one line, I'd say China Airlines' business class to Okinawa was the most un-business class business class, if that made any sense. But their new refurbished lounge in T1 was a great improvement, and I really encourage everyone to check it out.
