如何用 Le Club 白金卡免費獲得 Priority Club 白金會員身份（Getting a Priority Club platinum status match using Le Club Platinum card）

之前我曾經在前一篇文章裡提過，洲際集團的常客計劃 Priority Club 會提供大部份持有其他常客計劃白金會員的客人免費升級為白金卡。所以在我拿到雅高集團 Le Club 的白金會員身份之後，我就決定要寄信去請 Priority Club 要求比照升級了。畢竟不賺白不賺，對吧？

成為 Priority Club 的白金會員也是有不少好處的，像是免費升等跟延後退房，還有每次訂房可以獲得 50% 額外積點，點數也不像是其他飯店集團一樣有期限。算是相當不錯的常客計劃。但比較需要注意的是，每人只能夠申請比照升級一次，而且透過這種比照升級的會員身份，只有到該年度的年底有效（如果在2013年3月申請，就只有到同年度12月31日），所以如果在下半年度才申請，可能就沒有那麼划算囉。

As I've mentioned in my previous post, you can get a Priority Club (Intercontinental Hotel Group loyalty program) status match if you have a platinum status in most of their competing loyalty programs. After I got my Accor Hotels Le Club platinum status, I decided to give this a try. After all, what is there to lose?

Priority Club offers quite a lot of benefits for their platinum members, such as complimentary upgrades and late check-out. Also, you get 50% bonus points that NEVER EXPIRE. But something worth noting is that you can only apply for status match once, and matched statuses are only valid until the end of the calendar year. So if you're trying to get a status match during the second half of the year, that may not be a smart choice.

整個過程其實非常簡單，只需要寄一封 email 到 Priority Club 的信箱（PriorityClub@ihg.com）去，告訴他們你想要辦理升等的會員卡帳號，然後附上其他計劃的白金身份證明和活動、點數紀錄（基本上把網頁列印成 pdf 檔就可以了），就大功告成囉！

我才寄出沒多久就收到了他們的回信，告知已經完成升等，還會另外寄一份白金會員的 membership kit 給我。郵寄時間大概是兩到四周，等收到之後再放上來跟大家分享！各位不如趁著等待的時間，趕快也替自己申請一下吧～

The process is pretty simple. All I had to do was to send an email to the Priority Club service center PriorityClub@ihg.com with my Priority Club number and a screen shot of my Le Club webpage showing my status (of course) and some other details like points and previous activities.

I got a reply in no time and my request was granted. In the email, they also said they would send me a platinum membership kit, which should arrive in another two to four weeks. Terminal One, Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, and the Dynasty Lounge

每次從第一航廈出境都不會讓人有什麼好經驗。特別是在暑假出國旺季的時候，塞爆的航廈更是個超級大災難。光是從人群中移動到報到櫃台就已經讓人耗盡體力了。

還好商務艙櫃台沒有人在前面，所以我很快地就搞定了報到手續，行李也掛上 priority tag 完成托運。而且過安檢和出關也比想像中的快了一些，大約 20 分鐘後我就已經到了華航的貴賓室。

Leaving TPE in terminal one is never a good experience, even after some refurbishments. Adding that with the summer crowd, the airport became a total disaster. There was people everywhere, making through the crowd to get to the China Airlines check-in counters was a challenge by itself.

Fortunately the business class counter was empty, so check-in was handled smoothly and bags were checked and tagged with priority tags. Immigration and security went faster than I expected, so I was in the lounge in about 20 minutes or so.
